Our Music Olympics activity for this week was a summer event- badminton! Of course- music room style! We used flyswatters instead of raquets, a balloon as our birdie, and a line down the floor as the net!! The students competed team against team in four rounds. The goal seemed simple: keep the balloon in the air! Each time a team let the balloon hit the floor on their side of the net, the other team drew a card with a picture of a note on it. Once all the teams had played, teams added up the beat values of their cards and turned that into points! This was definitely a favorite game- the kids were asking to do it again the next time they came to music!
