Back to the winter games, this time the students participated in cross-country skiing... on dry land! Although with the amount of criss-crossed skiis and students going every which way... I again questioned if my carpet were really made of snow!
This time, students had to cross-country ski up to a laminated poster that had various notes/rests on it. Their job was to fill in missing information about each note (picture of it, how many beats, how we say it, etc...). The trick was they had to ski up, then ski back relay race style. For the older grades, we had two students on the skiis- talk about a lesson in teamwork!
