3rd graders create Instrument QUILTS!

After finishing our unit on orchestras and instrument families, 3rd graders had a chance to show what they had learned by creating full-size instrument quilts! Students worked in groups and each group was assigned to a different instrument family (string, percussion, brass and percussion). Students drew pictures and wrote facts about instruments that were in their family. Although these quilts weren't made from fabric, the students still needed to tie them together with yarn to create their finished projects.
