5th graders are currently working on a program called "Recorder Karate." Students work at their own pace to complete songs that get progressively harder which they test for and earn different colored "belts" for their recorders.
The students are allowed practice time and also time to test for various songs, but the line does get long during class. To avoid this, I have told my classes that they can videotape themselves at home playing the song and send it to me.
The easiest way to do this is:
1) VIDEOTAPE from a tablet/Ipad or smartphone and just send it to me via email at: abretz@hpseagles.net. They may also send it to their classroom teacher who can forward it to me.
2) VIDEOTAPE from a laptop or Chromebook with a webcam. You may download a free app called screencastify which allows you to take screen video using Chrome. It saves it in Google Drive and can be sent via Google or email easily.
Happy playing!
