3rd Grade Percussion Composers!

Third graders have finished up a unit on the instrument families.  Our final instrument family we studied was percussion (all of the instruments you hit, scrape or shake).  We are now doing a composing project where groups will be creating their own percussion pieces using classroom instruments.  After getting lots of rhythm inspiration from the famous group STOMP, students set to work brainstorming what instrument sounds they want to use, what rhythms they want to create and how the form of their song should go.  I can't wait to hear their final performances later this week!
