New Rhythms!

Each of our grades have been working at learning new notes and rhythms since the beginning of the year. We have made our own rhythm strips to practice with and manipulated notes and rests in many different games, songs and activities. Ask your child what these notes/rests sounds like!

First Grade: Quarter notes and Eighth notes (ta and titi)

Second Grade: Half notes and Half rests

Third Grade: Dotted Half notes, Whole notes and Whole rests

Fourth Grade: Dotted Quarter notes and Single eighth notes

Fifth Grade: Sixteenth Notes
