A New Year!

Wow! I can't believe how fast 2011 went... and now we are already half way through January 2012!

Now that our incredible Christmas program is behind us, it is time to dive back into new curriculum for our grades. For all of our grades, we are focusing on learning notes and rhythms right now.

Our 3rd-5th graders have participated in rhythm relay races, Rhythm BINGO games, Rhythm hula hoop activities, Rhythm memory, and created our own rhythm strips that we will use to practice our notes/rests for the remainder of the year.

Our lower elementary grades are focusing on learning about steadybeat and we have been reading stories, singing songs, and accompanying various songs with classroom instruments.

It looks to be a great start to a new year!!
