Mrs. Bretz.... come on down!!

Yes, its true!

I'm sure you've been questioning what all the far-fetched sounding stories around the dinner table were about last week... Price Is Right? Kissing Drew Carey? Who won a hot tub?

Well, I am here to tell you your child is not making them up! Yes, your humble (a bit crazy) music teacher here made an appearance on none other than THE PRICE IS RIGHT last week! It was not easy keeping this secret for so long (but I was under contract with CBS and couldn't say a word!) We went to California on a family vacation this summer and "thought" we were going to enjoy a taping and be part of the studio audience while there. I never would have imagined I would hear my name being called to COME ON DOWN!

It was so much fun sharing this with all of my Georgetown students. Although I couldn't legally say anything, Mrs. Reagan helped me by announcing to the staff to simply turn their TV's on at 11:00. At first, teachers and students alike were quite confused as to why they were watching the Price Is Right, but they soon found out after the first commercial break!

My third graders were jumping up and down and screaming when I pulled out the right number on "Squeeze Play" and won a hot tub!! (Although most of my boys were more excited about the sports jerseys I won with the correct bid. They are still telling me what teams to pick out!) It was very exciting!

My favorite quote was from a Kindergartner who was in the next class after we watched it. He looked at me and said "Mrs. Bretz, how did you get back here so fast?"
