High/Low- 2nd

Second graders are also working on high/low sounds. We learned a song called "Let's Go Fly A Kite." We learned that a kite doesn't stay in one place in the air... it swoops up and down. The song had lots of little ups and downs in it. After learning it and moving to it, the students worked with partners and used scarves to show the up and down melodies. Our final activity was a surprise as I pulled out the big parachute and we made a "gigantic" kite move up and down to the song!!
