How to Play B on the Recorder

Here are links to play songs that only use the note B!
If you are in 3rd grade and are just starting to learn your recorder, start with this lesson first!

How to Play B on Recorder

Remember that the B note is on the middle line.  If you were in class when we read "Freddie the Frog and Treble Clef Island", Freddie crossed the Bridge in the middle of the island.  Also, you can count the lines from the bottom and they spell Every Good Boy Deserves Ferraris (or whatever fun saying you came up with)

Also instead of just blowing each time you see the note, use your tongue to touch the top of your mouth quickly between each note.  That is called "tonguing" and makes a much better sound since you are actually stopping the air briefly between each note.  It will make it easier to play once you get used to that!  I'll post a video on it later.  Good luck!!!
