Trombonist visits fourth grade

Our fourth graders were treated to a special visit by a trombonist from the West Michigan Symphony.  Mr. Kipman is our mentor with our LINK UP Symphony program and helped us prepare for our upcoming symphony trip in April.  Besides reviewing our repertoire with us, Mr Kipman taught us about brass instruments, different types of trombones and even played a garden hose and conch shell to show what they have in common with brass instruments.  The students were thrilled when he played “Star Wars” on his trombone for them!
