We had an awesome time at the 4th grade LINK UP concert in May!
The students all had a chance to not only move and sing to the music, but even play their recorder along with the symphony orchestra! Even our incredible 4th grade teachers learned our recorder song so they could play along too!
We have been working on our LINK UP curriculum throughout the spring months and it was great to finally see all our hard work come together. We learned about rhythms, notes, how to play the recorder, different styles of music, various composers, and even how to sing in Latin! The students loved seeing the drum line come down the center aisles and our host of the show was a "rocker dude" who had the kids laughing and learning! The highlight was the final song- Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever" complete with firework lights on the walls and ceiling and a grand finale of confetti and streamers that shot into the air!
