5th Grade Gets Ready to go the symphony!!

Get ready to EXPERIENCE the Symphony!

Do you know the difference between an oboe and a clarinet?

Do you know what the concertmaster's job is?

Do you know how the orchestra tunes?

Do you know how to conduct in a march pattern?

I bet your fifth grader does!! Ask them!!

Fifth graders have been preparing for weeks to get ready to go see the Grand Rapids Symphony. We have been learning instruments of the orchestra, learning how to conduct, preparing artwork for one of the pieces, and learning about the music and composers we will hear.

Students will be attending the symphony on Tuesday, March 9. Busses will be leaving about 10:10.

If you are interested in chaperoning and going to this wonderful concert with your son/daughter, please contact your classroom teacher. We have a limited amount of spots available for parents to attend. Please know that this is a 5th grade only concert and younger siblings will not be allowed to attend.

SEE YOU AT THE SYMPHONY!!

NOTE: Due to the fact that students will not be back in time for their normal lunch, there will be no hot lunch available that day. Your classroom teacher will be making alternate lunch plans.
