Flutist Visits Our Class!

As our fourth graders get ready to go to the amazing LINK UP concert performed by the West Michigan Symphony, we were treated by a visit from one of the players from the symphony! This was very cool! Mrs. Jodi Dyer is a flutist for the West Michigan Symphony. She also plays the piccolo and demonstrated both of her instruments for our fourth graders. She visited us at the beginning of March and also at the end of March.

Not only did she play some amazing pieces on both the flute and piccolo, talked to us about the orchestra and even showed us some cool flutter tonguing tricks, but she helped the fourth graders get ready to play their recorders to TWO pieces at the concert too. We are really looking forward to seeing her again at the concert. She even has a special warm-up that she does on her flute to say hello to us. I know the fourth graders will be listening for her special hello! Thank you so much Mrs. Dyer!!
