Music Olympics: Horse Racing

Students had a ton of fun participating in an equestrian based event for our Music Olympics. This event had each team competing for points by sitting on the floor as a team and trying to complete a music worksheet. Older students had to try to name note names on a staff and younger students had to total up note rhythms. Each team only had as much time as it took for the rest of the teams to race around them and back to their finish line.... although this was no normal relay race. They had to "ride" a stick pony! Of course there was great fiddlin' music in the background as the teams raced to give the team solving the worksheet as little time as possible. We added up how many problems were solved correctly for points! This was a ton of fun!
